Golf, anyone? We hear the resounding yes. Milbrook is a great place to play. We suggest a game on the Thursday or Friday morning before heading off to Clyde.
A popular 2–3 hour return hike with rewarding views over Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu, and the Remarkables. The climb is steep in parts but worth it for the stunning panorama at the top—perfect for a morning or afternoon adventure close to town.
A stunning 55km bike ride between Clyde and Cromwell, winding past turquoise lakes, vineyards, and dramatic cliffside boardwalks. Bike hire and shuttles make it easy to enjoy as much, or as little, of the trail as you like.
The Onsen Hot Pools in Queenstown offer private, cedar-lined tubs perched above the Shotover River, combining relaxation with unbeatable views. It’s one of Queenstown’s most scenic and serene experiences.
One of our favourite wineries in the area. Chard Farm is a hillside winery in Gibbston Valley, famous for its Pinot Noir. The cellar door is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a wine tasting with a scenic backdrop. (Note: the drive in is hairy, but worth it.)
Not trip to Queenstown is quite complete without a visit to Amisfield. It's not a "drop in for lunch" kind of place. The food is fancy and you'll need a booking, but it's definitely worth going for a glass of wine in the bar, or doing a tasting.
Just outside Arrowtown, Ayrburn is a historic farm turned food and wine hub, with restaurants, bars, and beautiful gardens. It’s the perfect spot for a long lunch, a local wine, or a relaxed afternoon in a stunning setting. This is where we are having our Thursday night pre-wedding event.
Set on the banks of the Kawarau River, Carrick Winery offers award-winning organic wines and breathtaking views. It’s a perfect stop for a relaxed tasting or a long lunch, with a focus on seasonal, locally sourced food and warm Central Otago hospitality.
