You thought your wedding season was behind you, didn’t you? That’s what our late twenties and early thirties were for. But hey, they say we save the best for last.

Fifteen years together, three children, a handful of countries, and a couple of houses later, Mads and James are (finally) getting married. We don’t need to...we’ve long felt like a married couple, but we want to. And we want to do it in front of the people we love most. That’s you.

By the time the wedding rolls around, we’ll have been in New Zealand for three years. This place, its people, and the life we’ve built here have shaped us in ways we couldn’t have imagined. We can’t think of a better backdrop for this moment, and we’re so excited to share a little slice of our world with you.

The wedding is on Saturday, March 7, but we’re planning a few extra activities in the lead-up. This area has so much to offer—golf, wineries, hikes (did you know we liked to hike?), bike rides, fruit picking (a personal favourite), hot pools, restaurants... the list goes on. We’ll share our top picks in the “Things To Do” section over time, so be sure to check back in from time to time.

It’s rare in life to gather everyone you love in one place. We know not everyone will be able to make it, but for those who can, we can’t wait to celebrate with you. For those who can't, we will miss you.
